Let’s come together to chant sacred songs & mantras and connect to a deeper place within and without. Jaya Deva will share some of his favorite Kali Mantras and guide a beautiful Kirtan.
No singing experience or Mantra knowledge is required. You may also come and simply listen to the frequencies to establish a deeper connection with the Mantras and with yourself. It’s a practice that shall help you get out of your head and settle in the heart.
ABOUT JAYA DEVA
Jaya Deva has been immersed in the Bhakti Yoga tradition since she was born. He was initiated to chant at ashrams in the Siddha Yoga tradition.
Later, he started playing the harmonium in Swami Satyananda Saraswati’s Sangha. In 2010 he met Krishna Das and his life changed radically. He left aside the path of Jnana Yoga and focuses only on Bhakti Yoga and singing. Jaya Deva went on learning the Hanuman Chalisa and deepened the harmonium practice with Krishna Das.
His kirtan singing style is classic call-and-response. His voice and melodies are heavily influenced by Krishna Das kirtans and tend to be ecstatic, meditative experiences and a wonderful yogic practice.
